After the formalities of the meeting we were “royally” entertained by The Frailes Festive Singers who sang a collection of well known numbers in both Spanish and English. Many of the choir are members of the Branch. One surprising addition to the singing was a jive demonstration by the “loose-limbed” Jean Moore and Steve Suffield, which brought back memories of those wonderful Saturday nights at the Mecca for many of our members!
Like other RBL Branches, we are putting together ideas to raise money towards the 2008 Poppy Appeal. The money raised is as vital today as it was in 1921 when the charity was inaugurated. To find a Legion Branch near you, go to
