Chess Club Ontinyent

chess.gif Chess is a very popular sport in Ontinyent with many clubs playing at competition level. There are many sports residents can choose, but Chess requires no physical effort. The Chess Club in Ontinyent offers a good hobby with the chance to play in tournaments organised by the Valencian Federation of Chess. The League Championships started only two weeks ago and will continue through to the beginning of April. During this time teams from around Valencia will compete. The Headquarters for the Chess club is in Calle Francisco Cerdá and competitions are held in Martínez Valls School. The President of the Chess Club, José González told Inland Trader, “This sporting community has a good atmosphere and we have people of all nationalities. We would love to increase the number of English players.
