U3A Denia
U3A Denia is an organisation for those no longer in full time employment, who still wish to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experiences, by taking part in interest groups, travel and social events.  The next general meeting of the U3A Denia will take place on Thursday September 18th at the Casa De Cultura in Denia at 10:15 a.m. for 11:00 a.m. The guest speaker this month will be from the Denia Help organisation giving us an insight into what the Help organisation is about.

All are welcome. To learn more about the organisation, groups and current travel and social events, please see our website at or call the president Joe Bassim on 96 597 77 78.

Not everyone likes jazz, but we all had a good time dancing to the Jubilee Jazz Band last Thursday evening. They played some popular tunes to get people up onto the floor. David sang ‘All of Me’ and ‘Bill Bailey’ which were well received by band and audience alike (our president has a good voice). On Thursday 18th September we are going to try a karaoke evening – come and join the fun (there is NO need to sing). Flamenco classes are starting again after the summer, and our Second Tuesday lunch club starts on the 9th.

You can join the club for ten-pin bowling, flamenco classes, walking, petanca, golf (in Gandia), or Thursday dinners. All are welcome, members or occasional guests, young or old.

Every Thursday evening the club meets for dinner at the Viva España (menu choices in advance), gathering by 8 for an 8.30pm start. Please respect our dress code (smart casual). Some nights we have dancing, quizes or other entertainment. More information from David on 96 287 8298 or on the web:
