Caudete Garden centre fun day

Picture7_1.gif What better way to spend a hot sunny Saturday afternoon than wandering around the various plants, trees and garden ornaments for sale at Caudete Garden Centre. To add to the enjoyment it was their open day and there was entertainment for the kids in the form of a bouncy slide and castle, face painting and balloon modelling from Party Pals. The girls from Inland Magazine where there all morning handing out sun visors and hats. Many people turned up just for the excuse to sit in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the BBQ and salad which was expertly cooked by proprietor Quintin Campbell, and enjoy a welcome cold beer on what was a very hot afternoon. The more serious gardeners took the opportunity to ask authors of “Your Garden in Spain,” Dick and Clodagh Handscombe some important gardening queries Also it was a good chance for visitors to take advantage of the 10 per cent discount on all gardening products, such as garden furniture, barbecues, water features, gardening tools and plants. The open day was such a success that Quintin told I.T, “We are hoping to hold another one in July when we will be concentrating on how to reduce your water consumption in the garden. Keep an eye on the paper for more details”. A good day was had by all and everyone seemed to leave with a little something to brighten their garden during the summer months.
