mail.google.comKeith is the right Price at Bonalba

THE PRICE was right when Levante held the first round of its Autumn Trophy at Bonalba yesterday.

Keith Price was the only one of 28 members to beat net par and he'll take a two-shot lead into the second round of this 36-hole medal competition, at Oliva Nova today (November 9.)

Not only did Keith finish at the head of the field at Bonalba but he also won a nearest the pin prize (just 0.62 metres away at the third hole) and picked up the money for notching the only two of the day.

Playing off a slope handicap of 24, Keith returned a net 70, two shots clear of John Chessher (8) with Clive Wright (11) a further shot behind.

Six shots separate the top six players – Peter Hunt, Ken Perkins and Mike Cuerden are also in the chasing pack – so there is all to play for at Oliva next week.

2nd John Chessher (8) 72

3rd Clive Wright (11) 73

4th Peter Hunt (17) 74

6th Mike Cuerden (10) 76
