britbuys Karaoke

The Spanish entries ran away with first and second place at the Britbuys Karaoke on Friday at Ricardo’s Bar at Lloc Nou d’ Fenollet. Paco Onrubia from La Pobla Llarga and Ramon Blesa from Xativa certainly hit all the right notes with the female audience, who have now forsaken former Spanish idols of Julio and Enrique Iglesias. Their new female fans will have another chance to swoon at them again (no knicker throwing please ladies) at the quarter finals on Sunday July 2nd which is also being held at Ricardos.

For those of you who have not taken part yet, make a date in your diary for Friday June 30th when it is your final chance to enter. Remember this whole event is for charity and it only costs 5 euros to enter the karaoke competition and 1 euro to sing beforehand. So come on, it doesn’t matter if you sing like Arthur Millard and Hilda Baker dueting on a bed of hot coals just enter and make your contribution. Or on the other hand if you choose to save everyone’s eardrums from irreversible damage you can make a small donation instead. Obviously, it doesn’t have to be as big as the impressive cheque for 150€ presented by Anita from Buscalo,  raised from the recent Buscalo party, but every little helps.

The Britbuys Karaoke charities are The Lions Club (Childrens Orphanages),

Denia HELP, and AECC  Terminally Ill Cancer Support.
