An audience of over 70 residents heard Lloyd and his colleagues Martyn Standing and Martin Fitches, from the Pensions, Benefits and Healthcare Team in Spain talk about consular services, how to register to vote from abroad and social security entitlements. A question and answer session and a one-to-one clinic gave the audience the chance to ask specific queries.
On the same day, the roving consular team addressed an even larger audience at Benitachell town hall to discuss similar topics.
Benitachell’s councillors kindly expressed their gratitude for the visit, saying “the British residents clearly appreciated the information the team supplied about pensions, healthcare and other subjects.” Feedback from the public was also really positive.
The British Consulate in Alicante will be meeting with more local organisations over the coming months.
