TRIVIAL FUN
So you’ve been studying away for the past few months, and you feel you’re starting to understand the basic concepts of the language, but you feel you’re always moving on to new things in class before you’ve had a chance to really practice and use what you’ve learnt and then when you start on a new topic you feel you start to forget what you have learnt earlier. This is when you need to practice and use the language you’ve acquired to constantly recycle and re-enforce all you have learnt.
By doing this you will consolidate all you know and may be even pick up a few new things, in doing so. You can practise in many different ways and I’ve mentioned a few already, using songs, using your D.V.D, but as it’s Christmas here’s a popular Christmas activity you can use to practise your Spanish and that doesn’t involve eating and drinking. All the shops at the moment are stacked with board games of every description. “What’s your game?” Scrabble, Cluedo, Monopoly or even Twister are available in Spanish format. Sociable, fun and all can be played in Spanish to practise everything. Scrabble - practise vocabulary and spelling. Twister - parts of the body and colours. Monopoly- numbers, Cluedo - rooms of the house.
I recently bought Trivial Pursuit the new D.V.D format. It’s an excellent way to practise question words and the past tense eg.
Quien – Who
Cuando – When
Como – How
Donde – Where
Cuál – Which
En qué – In what/which
Contra que – Against which
Por qué – Why
Qué – What
Según – According to
And if you’ve learnt the past ‘el preterito indefinido’ you can practise recognition of the verbs which carry the past tense.
The Rising?

10. ¿ Qué provincia española presume de tener vino de cuatro
